LUTHERAN CHURCH
WE ARE THE HANDS AND FEET
OF CHRIST
connect TO COMMUNITY

Create, strengthen and sustain faith in Jesus Christ and the life we have in him.

These activities support and develop positive relationships among members through a variety of social and outreach events. To build a strong sense of community within the church, it is vital for member interactions to extend beyond its walls. Members are encouraged to participate in one or more of the activities offered throughout the year.
  1. Guest House
We plan, prepare and serve hot meals at this men's shelter in Milwaukee twice per month plus special Holiday meals - Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  2. Stitch and Chatter
Volunteers make quilts throughout the year, donated to Lutheran World Relief and Froedtert Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
  3. Food Pantry Collection
We collect non-perishable food items continuously throughout the year. These are donated alternately to the Food Pantry run by First Lutheran in West Allis and the New Berlin Food Pantry.
  4. ELCA Good Gifts
The Youth Group hosts an annual drive to purchase livestock for impoverished families throughout the world.
  5. Relay for Life
Each year we support the West Allis / New Berlin event with a team raising funds for the American Cancer Society. This event also provides support to those currently in treatment.
  6. West Central Interfaith
This organization provides support to the elderly in West Allis, West Milwaukee and the immediately adjacent part of Milwaukee. Many of our members participate in their fund-raisers and volunteer to assist local seniors.
  7. Habitat for Humanity
A crew from Holy Trinity spends a Saturday each fall working on a project in our area. This may include painting, dry walling, framing, or other construction activities. Coming in November!
  8. Youth Service Trips
Each year our high school age youth visit an area of the country in need. They do various work and youth program projects during a weeklong visit - e.g., home repairs, painting, gardening, youth activities.
